(Clay, NY) Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin E. Walsh says Criminal Investigations Division Detectives arrested a man Sunday night for burglary after allegedly trying to hit a witness with his vehicle. Phillip Randall (34) of 8389 Maple Rd, Clay, was arrested by sheriff detectives Sunday night at 11:10. Randall is accused of breaking into a house and an unattached garage located in the 8-thousand block of Henry Clay Blvd Sunday at approximately 12:15 pm, and stealing 2 lawn mowers, a rototiller, a DVD player and audio CDs.
As Randall was attempting to leave the area, a witness stood in front of Randall’s vehicle. When Randall yelled to the witness to get out of the way, the witness attempted to move out of the vehicle's path, however was struck in the leg. The witness was not injured and Randall left the area south on Henry Clay Blvd.
Randall is charged with the class “B” felony of Burglary 1st degree and the class “A” misdemeanors of Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree and Petit Larceny. He was arraigned Tuesday afternoon in the Town of Clay and lodged in the Justice Center on $10,000.00 cash or $20,000.00 bond.
