Syracuse, N.Y. – Syracuse’s Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs is looking for to solve a string of break-ins at facilities in Kirk Park. Three facilities have been broken into since the beginning of Dec.
“We are extremely distressed by these repeated incidents,” said Commissioner Baye Muhammad. “The Parks Department is working hard each day to serve the residents of Syracuse and we cannot let our important mission be undercut by vandals. I strongly encourage anyone with information on this to contact the Syracuse Police Department.”
The three incidents of criminal mischief were discovered on Dec. 2, Dec. 9, and Dec. 23. It is believed the break-ins took place over the preceding weekends. No items of significant monetary value were taken.
Individuals with information about these break-ins are urged to call the Syracuse Police Department at 315-442-5222. All tips will be kept confidential.
