Cortland Police have issued an alert for a shooting suspect who is considered to be armed and dangerous.
They're looking for 26 year old Shanessa Pittman, who's most recent address is in Cortland.
The shooting occurred Friday night in front of 152 Main Street when 20 year old Jedon Starudge was shot in the forearm during some sort of dispute with Pittman, according to police.
Starudge was taken to a Syracuse hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Cortland Police believe that Pittman may be driving a tan colored Ford Explorer and is also carrying a small caliber handgun.
She's described as a black female, about 160 pounds with short black hair and number facial tattoos.
Pittman is now wanted on assault charges, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon.
