Forbes has released its sixth list of the top colleges in America, and they have ranked Syracuse University 123rd out of 650 schools.
Forbes used categories such as likelihood to graduate in four years, debt accumulation, job placement and leadership potential within a student's chosen field, and interesting classes. Forbes' profile also contains school data such as student population, student-to-faculty ratios, total annual cost and a list of prominent alumni.
Forbes also ranked SU #92 among private schools, #62 in research universities and #58 in the Northeast. Forbes ranked SU 15th in the state, behind Columbia, Cornell and NYU, but ahead of all state-owned schools.
