The Notah Begay the Third Foundation Challenge golf tournament at Turning Stone will have to go on Wednesday without Tiger Woods, who has withdrawn.
Woods' withdrawal is a result of a back injury, visibly bothering Woods during the final round of the Barclay's this past weekend. Begay says, "While we're disappointed Tiger is unable to play in this year's event, the important thing for Tiger is to make sure he's 100 percent healthy and not risk further injuring himself." Gary Woodland, who finished tied for second at the Barclay's, will take Woods' spot on Team USA in the three-team, twelve-player combined best-ball tournament. All proceeds directly benefit the Notah Begay the Third Foundation and its ongoing work in Native communities.
