Oneida County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man and his mother on drug and traffic charges after they attempted to flee from police.
Deputies say 19-year-old Dylan Burke of West Leyden in Lewis County was spotted near Taberg in a Ford truck with an expired inspection sticker. Deputies say Burke then fled the scene at a high rate of speed and then tried to hide in a mobile home park. Deputies determined where Burke had stopped and took him into custody.
Burke was charged with multiple vehicle infractions. Also in the car was his 46-year-old mother Marcia Burke, who was charged with possessing a bag of marijuana and a smoking device.
