A Computer Full Of Malware Just Sold For A Lot Of Money!

For many of us, malware on our computer can be a miserable experience. Pop up ads, frozen hard drives, and viruses can cause a computer to act irrationally and can dangerously expose sensitive information to undesirable criminals.

However, a computer intentionally loaded with malware was recently sold for $1.3 million in an auction! The Samsung NC 10 laptop is called “The Persistence of Chaos” and was designed to be an art project.

Artist Guo O Dong was commissioned by cyber security firm Deep Instinct to create the interesting project. Dong said the purpose of the project was to give physical form to cyber security thefts. The computer has been isolated from the Internet and is unable to spread the malware. It would be very interesting to know who bought it though, right?
