In 10 Years Will People Only Be Listening To Artificial Intelligence Music?

A very interesting article appeared on the TechCrunch.com website recently. Venture capitalist, Vinod Khosla, who was speaking at the second annual Creative Destruction Lab’s Super Session, made the prediction that in 10 years, we won’t be listening to music anymore!

Instead, Khosla said that we would be listening to custom song equivalents that will be artificial designed for an individual and tailored to to that person’s brain, their listening preferences, and their specific needs. In other words, artificial intelligence (AI) will be creating music tailored for each individual person.

AI-created music is already a reality in the music industry according to journalist Stuart Dredge. He cites activity-based playlists that already appear on various music-based apps. While it does appear that AI created music will continue to grow in the coming years, will custom-based, AI generated music for each individual really become a reality like Khosla predicts? I have my doubts but I guess we will find out 10 years from now. Stay tuned!
