The “Cosmic Crisp Apple” took farmers and researchers two decades to create. The apple is a mixture of Enterprise and Honeycrisp apples. According to researchers, the acidity of the apple is what prevents the apple from browning too quickly.
Unfortunately, only a small amount of these apples will be available this year. About 450,000 boxes. However, next year, over two million boxes will be available. If you get a chance to try one this year, let us know how it tastes!
