Nursing Student Finds A Way To Show Her Grandfather She Is Engaged!

As we all know by now, people living in nursing and assisted living homes cannot be visited by friends and relatives due to the corona virus pandemic. As a result, nursing student Carly Boyd could not share the news with one special family member when she got engaged over the past weekend: her grandfather.

However, Carly found a way to still share the news with him when the staff at Premier Living and Rehab Center in Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina arranged for her to see him through his bedroom window. Carly pointed to her new engagement ring when her grandfather saw her. He got up and put his hand against the window so she could do the same to him.

Carly mouthed the words “I love you” and her grandfather replied “I love you too.” He also said he hope to see her soon, that is, really see her. Carly is getting married next year and hopes her grandfather will be able to be there in person. What a sweet moment!
