Here’s how your night can get ugly with a liquid head start

A vodka-tonic at the club: $6. A vodka-tonic at home: $2.50. The economics of pre-gaming seem so simple: Build a nice base at your home, save a little cash at the bar.

But pre-gamming to hard could leave you M.I.A for post-game festivities . A Swiss study suggest that pre-gaming is to blame for every bad thing that’s ever happened to you while drunk, well at least most of the rowdy things…

Hangovers? Blackouts? Injuries? Fights? Unplanned sex? OK, that last one can be manageable. But everything on that list is a lot more likely to happen if you’ve had a few before hitting the town. More booze = more trouble. Save yourself by exchanging every third drink for a glass of water—or cutting out your pre-game routine entirely. Hopefully, on my behalf, the elimination of pre-gamming will result in not dance battling everyone at the club or ocassionaly waking up in my front yard...Salute, Cheers!
