Today marks the arrival of what might be the most buzzed about album of 2012, Bruno Mars‘ Unorthodox Jukebox. But recoding it wasn’t without its difficulties. Bruno had already tracked an entire record’s worth of material before scrapping everything and starting over.

So, what led to that difficult decision? Bruno told us: “To make a long story short…I was just rusty. The first couple ideas that we had were pretty terrible, but we know what it feels like when we hear these songs back. If we don’t get that feeling, we feel like we didn’t do our job. So, you just end up throwing the song away.”
