Many aspiring singers look up to Katy Perry and can relate to her struggles throughout her career which are seen in her documentary “Katy Perry The Movie: Part of Me” released last year.

It even helped one singer who has already had some main stream success on American Idol. Pia Toscano felt defeated after she was dropped from her label when she happened to see Katy’s film with her father. When Katy admitted that she too had been dropped by labels before her succeeding, Pia broke down in tears.

In the midst of tears, her father turned to her and said: “This will be your story as well.” Pia found inspiration and is now working on her first full-length album!
