The Vampire Diaries’ month long hiatus ends tonight with a new episode on The CW, which should make fans happy enough...but it looks like they’ve got even more reason to celebrate.

A spinoff series centered around Joseph Morgan’s villainous character Klaus is in the works…tentatively titled "The Originals."

TVD series newcomer Phoebe Tonkin is also on board and its pilot is expected to hit The CW on April 25th.
