Bruce Willis called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to talk about “A Good Day To Die Hard,” the latest installment of a movie franchise that people have loved for many years.

Why Did He Decide To Bring The “Die Hard” Franchise Back?
“It was just a tiny little kernel of an idea and I thought, what if I had a son and that son grew up and he and I saved something or saved people or something was going to blow up or some fire or something happened. Then I realized we already had a son based on that photo from the very first film.”

What’s The Coolest Thing About Playing John McClane?
“The compliment that I get that is most cool are that young guys who saw the first film now can take their own kids, their own boys, to see it and go, ‘Yeah, I saw this 25 years ago.’”

On The Famous “Die Hard” Line Yippee-Ki-Yay…
“It was a throwaway. I was just trying to crack up the crew and I never thought it was going to be allowed to stay in the film.”

“A Good Day To Die Hard” out in theaters today.
