I grew up here in Syracuse...graduated from F-M in '96, went to SUNY Fredonia and graduated in 2000. I worked here at Hot 1079 for a summer during college and for a few months after college, then moved to Boston to work at Kiss 108. I loved Boston. After a few years there somehow I ended up in Baltimore before getting a job doing middays in Greensboro, NC. In October of 2003 the radio station I was at flipped formats and all the staff was let go. I was glad to come back home to Syracuse. I thought I'd just relax and take my time looking for the perfect job. But mom was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after I got home and I decided I would stay in Syracuse. (Mom's doing really well! Caught it early and she's great, she's also the reason for my pink obsession) It just so happened they were looking for someone to do mornings with Marty when I was looking for a job here... and well, you know how it all turned out... We have so much fun in the morning it hardly feels like work (it's only work waking up so early!) Did I luck out on my career choice or what?! :-) Personally, things are wonderful. Only a couple members of my family live outside of the Syracuse area... so it's great to be near most of them. My little brother, Sam, who was born when I was in high school... is now in the high school I was in when he was born. It's so strange! Ted... He's great... He was my best friend in college- we were inseperable. But people move in different directions and we lost touch after graduation. I think we have a great story, but I won't bore you with that here! I am so thankful that life helped us find each other again and we are able to enjoy being us now. How lucky to be able to share your life with your best friend? We live in Cortland (he works in Ithaca... so Cortland is right in the middle for us), we've got a slightly insane cat, Monkey! Monkey is our special girl... a little crazy, but such a love! She carries "babies" around the house, and cries for them if she can't find them... they're little stuffed animal kittens. And Monk always greets us with kisses! Ted's got 2 fantastic little girls from his marriage, they're 7 and 12. We've got them half of the week and we miss them the other half. It's been a big life change for me, living with Ted, having the girls... but I've loved every second of it and I can't imagine doing anything else with my life. I'm finally where I'm supposed to be. Professionally and personally I know how much I have been blessed. I'm lucky to be happy at work and at home... which is probably why I have yet to have any luck with Mega Millions... but I'll keep trying!
